Rio Olympics 2016
This 4-week project was a collaboration with Fazendo Arte, a community arts hub in Turano Favela, Rio de Janeiro.
The course followed the course of the Olympic Games and had great support from both the British and Brazilian governments. Access to usually inaccessible areas of the favelas was organised by local councils and resulted in extraordinary photographs of these communities. The photographs had extremely successful exhibitions in The Brazilian Embassy London, The British Council, Rio and within the favela themselves.
