Wembley to Soweto was initiated in 2010 by David Westhead & John Cole. Susan Morton, joined them in 2011 and together they have developed Wembley to Soweto from a one-off project to an international programme of courses run both in the UK and abroad.
Today, Wembley to Soweto is run by a core team of experienced professionals. Each course is led by a specialist producer who organizes and oversees the programme working alongside an internationally renowned photographer, both with in-depth experience of working within the communities in which they are teaching.
The programme is also generously supported by Free Seed Films.
